Responsible Gaming

This page explains what this site can and cannot do about gambling risk, and points to where independent help can be found. It also sets out plain, practical habits worth deciding on before any gambling starts.

What This Build Cannot Switch On: account controls

Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion belong to an operator account. This build has no account, no form and no server-side application, so nothing published here can switch one on, check one or enforce one. Anyone who wants those controls has to set them up inside an account at the destination site, after following an operator link from this page.

In the same way, nobody's age is verified on this site and no gambling takes place on it. Any age check happens at the destination, not here. No advertising or behavioural profiling network is present in these pages, so nothing here is targeted at a reader based on prior gambling activity.

Age Restriction Reminder: eighteen plus

The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout this build, including on the front page and at the end of every operator listing. It is stated here again for the same reason: gambling content and operator links on this site are not intended for anyone under eighteen.

Independent Help Organisations: three links

Every page of this site, including this one, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations, named here exactly as they are listed: gambleaware.nsw.gov.au, gamblinghelponline.org.au, and responsiblegambling.vic.gov.au. These are the only outbound links on the whole site that are not commercial. Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when a reader follows one of them.

Operator Listings: closing warning

Each of the ten operator listings on this site ends with the same warning line: check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, because eligibility rules and terms apply there and can change without notice. Everything a reader can actually do with money happens after leaving this site. Each operator link redirects to a third party, and from that point on, the destination's own rules, checks and account controls apply — not anything published here.

Deciding Limits Early: practical habits

Deciding an amount before starting, and treating it as already spent, removes the need to make a judgment call in the middle of play, when it is hardest to think clearly about money. Chasing a loss — increasing a stake or continuing specifically to win back what has gone — tends to turn a fixed, planned amount into an open-ended one, so it is worth recognising the impulse and stopping when it appears.

Keeping gambling out of borrowed money means a loss stays contained to what was set aside, rather than becoming a debt on top of a loss. Taking breaks during a session interrupts the momentum that can make continued play feel automatic rather than chosen. Involving someone else — a partner, friend or family member — early, while gambling is still entertainment rather than a problem, makes it far easier to talk about than waiting until money or stress has built up.

Where To Go Next: independent sources

Anyone wanting to check their own gambling, look into account-level controls, or talk to someone about it can use the three organisation links carried on every page of this site. They sit apart from the operator links, are not sponsored, and lead directly to the organisations' own websites in a new tab.
